Karen Mahon, Ed.D

Dr. Karen Mahon is an educational psychologist and instructional designer who specializes in the development of effective learning programs for students of all ages and abilities. Dr. Mahon has conducted numerous research studies examining how students best learn, some of that work was supported by grants from the U.S. Department of Education. She has received grants totaling nearly $4 million from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development to develop software-based instructional programs, and she has presented extensively, both nationally and internationally, on this topic. In addition, for more than 15 years she has conducted teacher training in the principles of effective instruction. Dr. Mahon received her B.A. from the University of California, San Diego, and her M.A. and Ed.D. from West Virginia University. |

Alyssa Porter has spent the last 10 years in education researching instructional techniques and developing educational software funded by several National Institutes of Health Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Technology Transfer (STTR) grants. She has also used this knowledge to develop instructional and behavior change programs for children with autism. |

Lindy George has been an educator for 31 years, 28 of those have been with the Collier County Public School system. She began her career as an elementary school teacher and curriculum specialist; for the last 14 years, Lindy has worked at the District level as an Instructional Technology Specialist supporting all aspects of classroom technology. She is a Mimio Master and a Mimio Certified Trainer, providing both online and face-to-face training for K-12 educators. Lindy is passionate about education and technology and strives to bring our student’s future into today’s classroom. |
